DIGITAL PLANET
Books: Classes 1–8
Teacher’s Guides and Lesson Plans 1–8
Digital Planet is a series of eight books on Computer Studies for Classes 1 to 8. It introduces the latest software packages and programmes, such as Microsoft Office 2010 and Windows 8.
Sections on new technologies and their basis, evolution and future cover path-breaking achievements and the latest developments in computing and technology. These will facilitate pupils to think ‘technologically’ and understand the role of technology. The negative fallout of overusing or misusing technology has been depicted in interesting ways using satire and comic strips. Internet safety and netiquette foster online ethics and safety awareness.
Screenshots given alongside a series of commands for using various tools and programmes promote understanding. Appropriate and concrete examples and colourful pictures bring subjects to life. Accessible language and effective assessment reinforce learning and deepen understanding.
Digital Planet resulted from extensive and exhaustive research by subject experts and experienced teachers. It provides updated coursework and goes beyond it to enable students to learn and understand how computers impact their daily lives.
